Get ready for Clearspace 2.5 !!!!!

The Enterprise 2.0 market is slowly saturating with solutions provided by different vendors. A while back I asked whether this is going to spin Web 2.0 into another red ocean. Major vendors are rolling out solutions that at best, look about similar, with the core value differentiator being the TCO to the client organization.
Within the oceans of Enterprise 2.0 software, there is only one company that has constantly surprised me with their innovation in the space, and that’s Jive Software. Their Enteprise 2.0 platform, Clearspace, has been a hot hit with major US corporations. Clearspace 2.0 was a big upgrade from Clearspace 1.0, with the key features being SharePoint integration through custom-developed connectors (connectors can be developed for any CMS out there) as well as the ability to form social networks within Clearspace.
Today, they are bringing Clearspace 2.5 to the market!!!
Jive claims that, unlike the other competitors, that their product is people focused. Being a Enterprise 2.0 consultant and all, part of my job is to evaluate products in the market and I have to say Clearspace is ruling in the market.
In short, the latest iteration brings you :-
- Adding content to places outside of Clearspace
- Salesforce.com integration!!!!!
- Blog/content posting from email - tailored to those who just can’t give up emailings !!!! Great job, the best of both world is now offered!!! If you are a mobile freak like me, you will love how you can now post blogs on your iPhone while you sip Martini on a beach somewhere in your vacation.
- Self-organizational features - My favourite being the break down of search results by content categories through Live Search!!!!. Looks very MAC-chy, but it serves all the purpose for fast, efficient and effective search!!!!
Check out Sam’s blog on the latest iteration and be ready to get very excited!
Mike - minor editorial “can’t be further from the truth” == lie :P.
Is it??? My command of English can be dodgy at certain times of the day. I have made some changes to it.
Thanks for reading the post !!!
No problem, the phrase is a little confusing!
